The 66th Worldcon, and third in Denver, Denvention 3 was held August 6–10, 2008, at the Sheraton and the Colorado Convention Center in Denver, Colorado. GoHs: Lois McMaster Bujold (pro) Rick Sternbach (artist), Kathy Mar (special music), Robert A. Heinlein (ghost). FGoH: Tom Whitmore. Wil McCarthy was Toastmaster. Chaired by Kent Bloom.
Bidders in the 2008 Worldcon Site Selection were Denver in 2008, Chicago in 2008, and Columbus in 2008. Denver won by 12 votes. Hollister in 2008 bid, but was not on the ballot.
The 2008 Hugos and 2010 Worldcon Site Selection were held.
