Fantasycon 5 was held February 23-25, 1979 at the De Vere Hotel in Coventry, UK. The GoH was Karl Edward Wagner. The MC was Dave McFerran.
The hotel was not satisfactory and the convention as a whole was less ambitious than the previous few.
