FenCon V was a convention held from October 3-5, 2008 at the Crowne Plaza North Dallas in Addison, Texas. Guests of Honor: Gregory Benford, Three Weird Sisters (Mary Crowell, Teresa Powell, and Brenda Sutton), Gerald Burton, Real Musgrave. Toastmaster: Howard Waldrop. Chair: Russ Miller.
Waldrop was unable to attend due to health concerns.
