The Sapphire Awards are given annually to SF romances, with nominees chosen by readers of the Science Fiction Romance Newsletter.
Winners are selected by a team of judges.
Awards are given in both novel and short fiction categories.
The first best novel winner in 1996 was Dara Joy for her Knight of a Trillion Stars.
