Edwin F. Counts was a fan in the 1940s. He was a charter member of The National Fantasy Fan Federation in 1941 and attended Midwestcon 1 in 1950.

He was also one of the attendees at Michicon 4, held June 17-19, 1944. at the slan shack in Battle Creek, Michigan.

He was the subject of a Founding Member article by Jon D. Swartz in September, 2018 issue National Fantasy Fan.
