Sgt Barstow was a fan stationed at a Royal Air Force base at Holmes-on-Spalding Moor, East Yorkshire, UK, active in the 1950s. He was a member of the Nor'west Science Fantasy Club. We know no more about him and the issue of Space Times that reported him joining the Club (#5, November 1952) did not even give him an initial, let alone a first name, while mangling his address as 'Holmes-on-Spalding Moss'. There was a non-attending member of the NECON, G. Barstow, who lived in Doncaster and that's about 50 miles from the RAF base at Holmes-on-Spalding Moor so it could have been the same chap. Not that we know much about him either.
