Tony C. Thorne, a British fan and writer, ran the Medway Science & Fantasy Centre Bookshop in the 1950s. He attended Festivention and Medcon and was one of the founders of the Medway Science and Fantasy Club. He worked with Ken Slater on Fantast (Medway).

His short sf was first published in 1953.

He now lives in Austria, after a stint in Switzerland. A design engineer by trade, he received an MBE for his developments in the field of low temperature cryosurgery instruments, very high temperature furnaces and processing carbon fiber.
