Milcross Book Service was shop and mail-order book-selling business in the UK operated from around 1947 into the 1960s at least, by Leslie J. Johnson and for a time Frank Milnes in Liverpool.

Johnson had earlier operated the Science-Fiction Service with Ted Carnell. After the War he launched Science-Fantasy Publications (Incorporating "Outlands Publications") under the name 'H. M. Crossen', his wife's maiden name. The business then became Science-Fantasy Service around 1949 with Frank Milnes joining the letterhead around 1950 using his mother's name, 'A.L. Milnes'. It finally morphed into Milcross Book Service[1] in 1951. Their shop was used as a meeting place for the Liverpool Group.

The shop closed around 1953–4 with Milnes leaving the business at about the same time. Johnson continued as a mail-order operation although on August 24, 1956 he switched to using the name H. M. Johnson, his wife's married name[2]. He continued under this name until at least mid-1962.
