Faircon '84 was a convention scheduled to be held July 20-23, 1984 in Glasgow. The guests of honour were to have been Sydney Jordan and Mat Irvine. It was organised by Scottish fan Bob Shaw and was slated for the same weekend as Albacon 84, also in Glasgow.

Ansible #39 (October 1984) reported that the convention was cancelled relatively late in the day and that '"Sidney Jordan ... will be relieved," wrote tactful Ian Sorensen: "he thought Bob was the Bob Shaw when first approached and has been regretting it ever since his pal Duncan Lunan put him in the picture.'
