Gavin Brown was a fan from Glasgow, Scotland, active in the 1950s. While not a member of the New Lands SF Club, he occasionally attended meetings.

In a profile in Contact 8 (February 1957) Ethel Lindsay said:

He lives outside Glasgow but attends meetings occasionally. He runs an exchange bureau with some US fans and is a member of the ISFCC and publishes Cosmos Bulletin.

Brown was in fact the UK representative of the ISFCC, and according to Dave Cohen writing in December 1956 he was at one point the editor of its official organ, The Explorer.

In approximately 1964 he was a founder member of the Caledonian SF Group.
