Shelley Belsky (born Neil Ira Belsky and nicknamed Bear) was a fan first active in New York in the 1970s who later lived in Pittsburgh, Minneapolis, Boulder, CO, and Uruguay, as well as 14 years in Canada. Belsky organized LICon in 1978 and was a founder of Hexacon, chairing at least Hexacon 1 in 1979 and Hexacon 4 in 1982.
Belsky suffered a stroke in early 2023; however, her death was unexpected.
