FindaGrave has a Harry Schmarje buried in Des Moines but no Harris M. 1925–1990, so it could be the right one. —Leah Zeldes Smith (talk) 18:47, 25 March 2023 (PDT)
- That's the guy. In all of his official documents he was simply Harry. He appears to have spruced up his name a bit when printing stickers that said Harris M. Schmarje, Esq., Author — Columnist — Critique.
- His 1940 census record matches the address on a letter he wrote in Captain Future, Fall 1940. (I've been looking through the letters in Captain Future in the hope that Knapheide wrote in.)
