Edward Nugent "Ned" McKeown, a Canadian fan, was part of the Toronto in 1948 Worldcon bid and chaired the resulting Torcon in 1948. He was a member of the Derelicts and published Canadian Fandom (with Beak Taylor) for CAFP.
His first wife was Shirley McKeown (née McKellar); he later married Barbara Antheunis. He was an educator, leading as the Director of Education of the Toronto and Metro Toronto school boards.[1]
