Revision as of 17:44, 6 December 2022
An apazine done for SAPS and FAPA in the early 50s by G. M. Carr. Issues were generally named each for a different gemstone or mineral, and some pun about that name was included in the issue. Most of the issues did not include a number (the ToC might say: "Number: Opal"). The ordering, and numbering, of the issues shown here comes from the final issue, in which Carr both mentions that it is the 16th issue, says when/where the first issue was published, and lists all previous issues by "stone". Vol.1 was published from 1950-51; Vol. 2 in 1952; Vol. 4 in 1952-53. There appears not to have been a volume 3. It is unknown to us whether Vol. 2 begins with issue #7 or #8.
Most issues are strongly devoted to reviews of other fanzines, although there are LOCs and some essays.
