Lenny Kaye, a New York/New Jersey fan, active in the 1960s, was a member of ESFA, the N3F and the ISFCC. He published Obelisk.
He donated his collection of 2,100 fanzines to the University of Miami. A book, The Tattooed Dragon Meets the Wolfman: Lenny Kaye's Science Fiction Fanzines 1941 - 1970 was published from the material.
In mundane life, he became a music critic, composer and guitarist, best known as a member of the Patti Smith Group.
