Jeddicon was a Worldcon bid for Jeddah, Saudi Arabia, chaired by Yasser Bahjatt. The bid first proposed running a convention on a weekend near May 4, 2022, but it lost to Chicago in 2022 by 517 votes to 33, amid concerns about Saudi Arabia's human rights record.
They have decided to run again for 2026, this time bidding Cairo, Egypt as PharaohCon.
