A bid to host the 1964 Worldcon in Los Angeles. Its slogan was "Mordor in '64" because LA was the "Desolation of Smog." (This may not have been the best bidding strategy...) In the Discon 1 PR 1 it called the convention Morcon with the slogan "L.A. Once More in '64".

According to George Scithers, the bid ran into trouble after “the working committee was invaded by a local femmefan too touchy to snub, too influential to ignore, and too conscious of her own BNFship to accept a token post.”

It withdrew in late 1962, leaving San Francisco in '64 the only bidder which went on to run Pacificon II.
