The 4th World Fantasy Convention was held October 13-15, 1978 at the Sheraton Fort Worth Hotel in Fort Worth, TX. The GoH was Fritz Leiber and Alicia Austin was Guest Artist. The theme was "Robert E. Howard", the scheduled toastmaster was Gahan Wilson but Andy Offutt actually carried out the duties. It was chaired by Michael Templin.
