John Griffith London (1876 – 1916) was an American novelist, journalist, and social activist.

He was one of the first writers to become a worldwide celebrity and earn a fortune from his writing.

His SF included such work as Before Adam (1906), The Iron Heel (1907), The Scarlet Plague (1915), and The Star Rover (1915).
