Chester Cohen was a New York fan, and a member of the famous Futurians. He appears in a group picture of the Futurians in Damon Knight's The Futurians (1977).
In the early 1950s he married Laura Goforth, a teacher, and they had three children. In later life Cohen suffered from depression.
