VCON 38 was held October 4-6, 2013 at the Delta Vancouver Airport Hotel in Richmond, BC, Canada. The theme was "Pirates and Piracy: Sea, Space & Web". The GoHs were Dan Wells (Author/Podcaster), John Kovalic (Author/Artist/Game Designer), Mur Lafferty (Author/Podcaster), and Special Guest Thyrza Segal (Artist/Costumer).
