Talk:Joy Goodwin
Evidence[edit]
According to a passenger list on Ancestry.com Library Edition, British citizens Harold Sanderson and Joyce K. Sanderson arrived on the Queen Mary on August 30, 1960, listing their address as 1750 Walton Ave., Bronx — which was the home of Belle and Frank Dietz. So I think we can suspect that her legal given name was Joyce, middle name beginning with K.
The "U.S., Public Records Index, 1950-1993, Volume 1" database shows that Joyce K. Sanderson (born November 9, 1923) and Harold P. Sanderson, Sr. (born December 15, 1931) both lived at 25 Washington Dr, Lindenhurst, Suffolk County, New York. That agrees with the article in File 770 that said he died "at his home on Long Island".
SSDI has a record for a Joy K. Sanderson (November 9, 1923 – April 22, 2010), so it looks like she may have also used Joy as a legal given name.

Previous husbands[edit]
Ancestry.com's "England & Wales, Civil Registration Marriage Index, 1916-2005" lists two instances when someone named Goodwin married someone named Joyce K.:
- Around July 1944, Jack Goodwin married Joyce K. Collison (b. 20 Jun 1924) in Chatham, Kent.
- Around July 1950, Sidney H. Goodwin married Joyce K. Maxwell aka Joyce K. Bray in Hemel Hempstead, Hartfordshire.
I suspect that Sidney H. Goodwin was her second husband. There was a Joyce K. Bray whose birth was registered in the Oct–Nov–Dec 1923 register of Hampstead, but there are no birth registries for Joyce K. Maxwell in that timeframe. On the other hand, I haven't found any Bray–Maxwell marriage records that fit the bill.
