I checked Terry Jeeves contention she was BSFA secretary. The secretaries as listed in Vector were:

• 3: winter 1958: Eric Bentcliffe
• 4: spring 1959: Doc Weir
• 5: autumn 1959: Sandra Hall
• 8: June 1960: Ella Parker
• 12 June 1961: Joe Patrizio
• 16 Summer 1962: Ken Cheslin

Yes, I was afraid of something such but didn't have the time to check, so thanks a lot. Still, the Jeeves memory, otherwise useful for the early BSFA shakedown, might be relegated to a footnote to warn readers.

Also, what is the source for the Shorrock quote/paraphrase? I couldn't google it anywhere, though found several Fiawol convention pages with photos. --JVjr (talk) 07:53, 26 February 2025 (PST)

Don't know, I'm afraid. I didn't add that one. It's been there as far back as the history goes so pre-2020. I thought it might be from 1972 when she won the Doc Weir but if so I can't find where.--Mark Plummer (talk) 08:06, 26 February 2025 (PST)
