(Bentcliffe) a breakfast food, at first ("doesn't snap, crackle, or pop... just lies there") and in this form the ancestor of the London O's Crottled Greeps. Later, they were cartoon-characters done by Eric and coeditor Terry Jeeves for Triode; these were vaguely humanoid. |
According to Ron Bennett in Skyrack 62 (January 29, 1964, p. 2):
“Soggies,” characters originally created to be both distinctive in appearance and easy to draw, have gone pro and their antics appear regularly in a number of professional hobbyist-magazines.
“The Soggy Saga — A Complete Account of the Adventures of Soggy in Space,” written and illustrated by Jeeves, appeared in Sfaira 2–3 (March 1957).
