(May 9. 1912 – February 2005)

Alys Rita Pitman was a UK fan active in the 1940s. James Parkhill Rathbone reported her saying that she 'grew out of sf some years ago' in 1940 while in 1941 she was still receiving fanzines such as Futurian War Digest and passing them on to him (Dawn Shadows #3). In Voice of the Imagi-Nation #17, Douglas Webster suggested that she might appreciate VOM.

Pitman worked as a hospital nurse in 1939. She married Rathbone in July 1942 and was known as Alys Rita Rathbone.
