PRSFS (also written PRiSciFicS and pronounced Prissy-Fish) is a suburban DC club formed in June 1975 by Don Miller, Chick Derry, Lester Mayer, Bob Madle, Joe Mayhew, Avedon Carol, Jean Dunnington, and Martin Morse Wooster.

The group split away from WSFA (though not all the founders left WSFA) to form a club that talked about books. This was also in some way connected with Miller's separation of The WSFA Journal from WSFA. PRSFS's Official Organ was The Potomac River Science Fiction Society Newsletter. Fl 1975-2013.

The group remains active but prefers to keep a low profile and a small membership.

Club 1975
This is a club page. Please extend it by adding information about when and where the club met, when and by whom it was founded, how long it was active, notable accomplishments, well-known members, clubzines, any conventions it ran, external links to the club's website, other club pages, etc.

When there's a floreat (Fl.), this indicates the time or times for which we have found evidence that the club existed. This is probably not going to represent the club's full lifetime, so please update it if you can!
