Offset printing, a type of lithography, is a commonly used printing technique where an inked image is transferred (or "offset") from a plate to a rubber blanket, then to paper.
Offset printing has been used for many years to print fanzines, but less so than mimeography or photocopying, being more expensive. A few fans did their own offset printing, but mostly it was as described in Fancyclopedia 1.
