Midwest Construction was a short-lived con-running convention, started in 2002 and sponsored by MFCI. The convention is currently in abeyance.
MCFI founder Steven H Silver stated, "Although the convention name made sense at the time, since we planned to discuss how to build conventions from the ground up, it proved to be a mistake. For years after I chaired the first one, I found myself on spammers list for concrete, i-beams, and other construction supplies."
