Michael Ambrose was a fan from Austin, Texas, who operated Argo Press. He published Macabre, Argonaut, ArgoNote and nine issues of Charlton Spotlight (2000–15), the latter title devoted to Charlton Comics. In mundane life, he was the Senior Editor of Texas Bar Books for the State Bar of Texas.
Further sources say he was a Lovecraftian and published some fiction.
