N. Lee Wood is the byline of an American author (born Nancy and called Lee), who has written SF, fantasy, crime, and mainstream novels.
She was born in Hartford, Connecticut, and and married to SF author Norman Spinrad from 1990 to 2005. Wood holds a Masters degree in English literature from the Open University of Great Britain, has traveled widely, and has lived in the UK, France, Australia, and New Zealand.
She and her partner, Greg Speer (an electrical engineer), live in Taranaki, New Zealand.
