This is a Worldcon bid that is very unclear. A Heicon '70 publication has a small ad for "Kansas Citycon in 77". Was it a hoax? A bid that never quite came together? A trial balloon? Or (perhaps the most likely) an opening murmur from what became the successful KC in '76 bid?
