(May 1, 1954 -- June 2, 2010)
Initially living in Connecticut and then in Minnesota, he was the author of the "Guardians of the Flame" series, as well as the "Metzada," "D'Shai," and "Keepers of the Hidden Ways." In addition to his work as a sf author, he worked as a guns rights advocate and had written books on guns rights. He originated Woodstockcon.
