Gil Lamont is a fan who, as a teenager in Beloit, WI, was involved in the first stirrings of modern Minneapolis fandom. He was one of the authors of The Essential Ellison: A 35-Year Retrospective which was nominated for the 1988 Best Other Forms Hugo.
