Ellen Kushner is a writer of fantasy novels. Her most famous work is Thomas the Rhymer, published in 1990.
She has been married to Delia Sherman since 1996. From 1996 until 2010, she was the host of the radio program Sound & Spirit, produced by WGBH in Boston and distributed by Public Radio International.
