A second-generation fan who grew up in the Baltiwash area and now lives in Pennsylvania, she won Best Novice and Best in Show at the Discon III masquerade in 2021 for “La Calavera,” a costume inspired by the decorative skulls of the Mexican Day of the Dead celebration.
Her father is conrunner Michael R. Nelson.
