Buxton is a spa town in Derbyshire, UK, about 22 miles south-east of Manchester and a similar distance south-west of Sheffield. Fannishly and historically, it is best known for hosting Thirdmancon, the 1968 Eastercon. More recently the Palace Hotel has hosted the annual Novacon since Novacon 50 in 2021 onwards, as well as Contabile 3/4, the 34th British Filk Convention, and FunCon One, both in 2024.
