British Fantasy Society Bulletin

The British Fantasy Society Bulletin was, as the name implies, the clubzine of the British Fantasy Society. It was edited by D. R. Smith and initially distributed with Futurian War Digest and independently from #22 onwards. There were 27 or 28 issues, the caveat being that no copies of #12 have ever been traced and it may not exist. #26 and #28 have similarly not been traced as of 2024.

Just as there are two unrelated incarnations of the British Fantasy Society – this one in the 1940s and a later one from 1971 – this Bulletin is unrelated to The Bulletin - The British Fantasy Society Newsletter issued by the later incarnation.

The bulletin proper was preceded by a questionnaire and three preliminary bulletins, the first two called British Fantasy Fan Federation Preliminary Bulletin which was the then working name of the organisation. These were produced by J. Michael Rosenblum:
