Aljo Svoboda

(November 24, 1957 – )

Alva Joseph “Aljo” Svoboda, Jr., is a California fan who was most active in the 1970s, mainly as a fanzine fan. He belonged to Apa-50, Myriad and N'APA. He joined LASFS on August 5, 1971.

Originally from Simi Valley, CA, the gafiate now lives in the BArea, with his wife, Jenny Klein Svoboda. He holds a bachelor’s degree in mathematics from the University of California at Santa Barbara, and an M.S. and Ph.D. from the Department of Industrial Engineering and Operations Research at Berkeley. He works for the Pacific Gas and Electric Company.
