Torque was a convention held in Toronto, Canada and organized by Taral. It was a "word-oriented" convention with no films or video room. In mid-1985 he announced that the next planned and announced convention was cancelled due to the amount of his time it required and he planned no more.
Torque-and-a-half in part was a Torque benefit to cover the Torque 1 deficit. Attendance was 25-30. John Robert Columbo spoke about his anthology OTHER CANADAS.
