Philcon 1997 was held November 14-16, 1997 at the Adams Mark Hotel in Philadelphia. The GoHs were Dan Simmons, Alan M. Clark, Gardner Dozois, Nancy Kress, Clam Chowder. The con's subtitle was "The New Dark Age".
