(1) A Pittsburgh Club[edit]

PARSEC is a Pittsburgh-area club which is 501(c)(3). It puts on Confluence and publishes the SIGMA e-newsletter. PARSEC used to be an initialism for "Pittsburgh Area Realtime Scientifiction Enthusiasts Club" -- but wisely gave that up... The founders included Ann Cecil, Barbara Carlson, and Kevin Riley.

ParsecInk is its publishing arm.

This is a publication page. Please extend it by adding information about when and by whom it was published, how many issues it has had, (including adding a partial or complete checklist), its contents (including perhaps a ToC listing), its size and repro method, regular columnists, its impact on fandom, or by adding scans or links to scans. See Standards for Publications.

Multiple unrelated entries on one page are deprecated.

Club
This is a club page. Please extend it by adding information about when and where the club met, when and by whom it was founded, how long it was active, notable accomplishments, well-known members, clubzines, any conventions it ran, external links to the club's website, other club pages, etc.

When there's a floreat (Fl.), this indicates the time or times for which we have found evidence that the club existed. This is probably not going to represent the club's full lifetime, so please update it if you can!
