(2) Stfnal Slang[edit]

To grok is to understand something deeply and intuitively. The transitive verb (grokked, grokking), coined by Robert A. Heinlein in his 1961 novel Stranger in a Strange Land, has made into mundane dictionaries, but it was fanspeak first.
