Ginjer Buchanan is a New York fan and pro. She was GoH at Dublin 2019, the 2019 Worldcon. She joined fandom in 1968 and was one of the Founding Mothers (along with Suzanne Tompkins and Linda Bushyager) of WPSFA and of PgHLANGE in Pittsburgh. (She co-chaired PgHLANGE 1.)

She wrote for many fanzines, including Granfalloon, Spanish Inquisition, and Mainstream. Her Baycon con report "I Have Had No Sleep and I Must Giggle" is regarded as a classic of fan writing. She published Imryrr with Suzanne Tompkins.

Professionally, she was an editor at Ace Books beginning in 1984, rising to Editor-in-Chief of the SF lines at Penguin USA (including Ace and Roc). She has published a small amount of fiction of her own.
