A large hotel in Liverpool, Northwest England, with the fading grandeur of the Edwardian age, it was the site of several Eastercons (Follycon, Eastcon, Sou'Wester, Intervention, ReConvene) in the ’80s and ’90s until increasing problems with security, due to unauthorised access by local thieves, caused fans to boycott it, leading to the folding of Convoy in 2007. It’s not been used for major fannish events since.
