Balticon 35 was a convention held Memorial Day weekend, May 25-28, 2001 at the Wyndham Inner Harbor Hotel in Baltimore, MD. The GoHs were Hal Clement, Halla Fleischer, Dave Kyle, Frank Hayes and Robert Sacks (who died before the convention).

The chairman was Hal Haag. This year Balticon moved from its long-time slot on Easter weekend to the Memorial Day weekend slot opened up by the demise of Disclave.

In addition they had an Anime "Special Guest": White Radish's Kara Dennison and Shawn the Touched, "Special Musical Guests": Clam Chowder (Friday Night) and Boogie Knights (Sunday) and a "Special Art Guest": Daniel R. Horne (who did not attend the convention -- he's listed as a "No Show" on the historical website).

Syne Mitchell won the Compton Crook Award for Murphy's Gambit. The previous year's winner was Stephen L. Burns.
