Stven Carlberg is a Southern fan who works in retirement as a musician and occasional board game designer. He founded two apas, Myriad and Please, was a member (and twice OE) of SFPA, member of SAPS, FAPA, ALPS, LASFAPA, etc., a founding member of NCSFA and Fantasy Construct at the University of Houston, and was co-organizer of Stven & Don's Halfacon. After parting amicably with science fiction fandom, Stven played Diplomacy by mail in the 1990s and was a GM for Diplomacy games with his zine Hoodwink. In 2003 he organized the boardgaming convention the Oasis of Fun, which took place annually in Atlanta until the COVID years.
