Qurp! was an apazine for FAPA published by Ron Bennett in the UK. Its title references Bennett's OMPA fanzine Burp! and in the first issue of Qurp! he said that "A title I had in mind for a sister magazine was SLURP! This was stillborn when I didn't join SAPS and I've heard anyway that a column once existed with that very title. So what other title could I use for FAPA than QURP!?" Bennett had been on the FAPA waitlist for two years.

The first issue included an introduction:

And who is this Bennett guy anyway? Well, he's been around Fandom for the past four years. He’s six feet nothing in highheeled shoes and weighs 165 pounds wearing an overcoat. Age 24. Smokes, drinks. Single. Wears heavy glasses. Ex-rugby.player, now a referee. Mascot Luton Girls' Choir. Has represented Liverpool at chess and house-breaking. Has lived, in Yorkshire (You should hear his Sam Small accent) for 23 years, the odd year being spent in Liverpool 1955-56. Born in Leeds, the Yorkshire woollen city, in which centre he now works. A fan by trade. Teaches school as a means to a fannish end,.... for cash, y'know. Interested in philately (come around and see my collection of plate-blocks, Dean), -chess, jazz and short stories. Is a Faan first and- foremost, attending weekly the meetings of the Leeds SFA and annually the Conventions. See you in London in September?
