Newport SF Group

The Newport SF Group, more formally, The South Wales SF Group or SWSFG, first met in the Greyhound pub in Newport, Monmouthshire/Gwent, Wales, in February 1977. Present were Rob Hansen, Bryn Fortey, and Mike Collins. Later in the year the group was joined by Dai Price. Collins moved to London in May 1978 and shortly after that the group was joined by Alun Harries and then Louise and Paul Williams (UK). Price, Hansen and Harries also moved to London over the next few years leaving only Fortey and the Williamses. It's unknown whether the group continued beyond the early 1980s and if so for how long.
