Life Sentence

Life Sentence was an 8-page, one-off fanzine published by Avedon Carol, Patrick Nielsen Hayden, and Teresa Nielsen Hayden in November 1984. It was a rather heavy-handed humorous take on the TAFF Wars. It inspired the shorter (but equally heavy-handed) Life Sucks by Dave Locke. Its introduction described it as:
[...] another artifact of the Plutonium Age of Fandom from the Bicoastal Cabal and Chuch Harris Fan Club International [...] This fanzine is a fanzine. It is produced for the purpose of fanac. Real fanac. You remember that stuff? We do it for fun. Why? Because we like you (c'mon, pick up your cues).
