George Edward Barr was a prolific U.S. fan artist who also had a substantial pro career. He did all six illustrations for a 1960 fannish calendar. His first professional illustration was the cover of the March 1961 Fantastic. His preferred medium was a combination of ball-point pen and watercolor. He also published Limericks Illuminated.
Barr was born in Tucson, AZ, grew up in Salt Lake City, Utah, and later moved to Northern California.
